Josh & Cat's wedding - Dorset House School

Josh & Cat's wedding was beautiful and so unique in the way they included so many people in their special day. It really felt like a joining of families and the speeches were epic - I think there were 9 in total! During the ceremony a band/orchestra featuring members of both sides of the families played The Turtles - Happy Together which everyone sang to. It was just an amazing atmosphere in the barn and brought tears to my eyes.

The details were amazing, crosswords on the tables, jigsaws to complete, quizzes, amazing crossword cake - so much thought and attention went into it all.

Dorset House proved to be an absolutely perfect venue - the ceremony room just about big enough to fit everyone in! - and the grounds were the perfect size for group shots, games, and a little couple shoot with the newlyweds.

Bibendum

Earlier in the year I was approached by Fiona McFall, restaurant manager of Bibendum, to take some shots of their new head chef Peter Robinson, as well as some images of dishes being created, the final results, and interior photographs of the incredible building and stunning restaurant.

Creatively, this was such a dream for me.  Being able to take candid shots of the food being prepared was amazing (and so interesting seeing the dishes being put together with such care and attention) and the light in the restaurant was incredible so it made the finished dishes look so good.

The images have been featured in the press included The Telegraph, London on a Plate and of course on Bibendum's website.

Below are a selection of my personal favourites which capture the amazing space and the fantastic team working there.  Food photography is definitely an area in which I wish to explore more in 2016 so do get in touch if this is something you're interested in.

Sarah and Alastair's Worcestershire wedding

Sarah and Al's beautiful Worcestershire day encompassed so many things I love about weddings -  a location that is special the couple, a sense of 2 families joining together, beautiful little details and finishing touches and a group of people that are truly thrilled to be witnessing this happy day.

The location was perfect. The reception took place on Alastair's family's farm, with the boys getting ready in the family home (and the girls getting ready just down the road at a beautiful b&b), and the marquee squeezed into their stunning garden - I loved the flower bed in the marquee!  Tenbury is a great cider and hops producing region so there was a bar serving local cider and beer and apples from the orchard formed place settings.

The ceremony was held at St Michael's, Tenbury which is a stunning cathedral-like church. After the service guests were taken on an amazing vintage bus to the reception which we just HAD to use for photo opportunities.  It poured with rain as we arrived but soon the sun came out and guests were able to enjoy all the games Al & Sarah had arranged.

Enjoy the photos - comments are always appreciated, thank you.

Bump shoot - West Wittering

It was such a pleasure to get together with Andrew, Rachel and her beautiful bump! We had a lovely time chatting about her pregnancy, baby names, nurseries etc. etc. whilst I snapped away. I love doing these kind of lifestyle photoshoots in West Sussex, I find my clients are at ease being able to walk and talk without being forced into uncomfortable poses!

If you are expecting please do get in touch and we can chat about All Things Baby whilst I capture you at your most beautiful.

Personal post - a weekend in Norfolk

I grew up in North Norfolk, in a little village called Cley-Next-The-Sea, and that part of the East Anglian coastline is just so special to me. I left when I was 16, and when I was 20 I started taking my then boyfriend there. We became husband and wife and then Mum and Dad to our children, so every time we go up to Norfolk the memories change - the deep personal memories of my childhood through to the romantic recollections of Jonny and I, and now to the memories we are making for our children.  They love it up there. We all do.

This time our trip was celebrating my parents' Ruby Wedding anniversary - Dad had booked a cottage for them for the week and asked if we'd like to join them. Would we?! The hellish M25 Friday traffic a distant memory as we travelled through Newmarket, Barton Mills, Swaffham, Fakeneham... the sky growing bigger with stars, the air cleaner, our shoulders more relaxed. A perfect, perfect weekend.

Newborn baby photography in London

I met this adorable baby for his newborn photography session in London recently. He was completely gorgeous, so chilled and his parents were so welcoming and relaxed.  I spent an hour or so there, we had a good chat about how the first days had been going (and the birth story, I always want all the details!) followed by some very relaxed natural photographs of Enzo by himself and then some of the new family of three. I got to have lots of cuddles too, he really is such a sweet little thing and I'm sure has changed so much just a few weeks later. I'm so glad his parents asked me to capture him at this stage where he was so new and precious, it was such an honour.
